sly-1,

Certain information by its very nature would be considered insider information until it is made public. Once it is made public, we know what was until then insider information.

For example, lets consider a company that makes an announcement that it has received regulatory approval for their product. Until this information is issued to the public it would be considered insider information. Now, if some one other than the official company news release makes this information public you will have to assume that the person has the insider information, provided that the information is factual.

In the case of Batman, the question is whether some of what appears to be insider information, is accurate. If not, then obviously it would be nothing more than speculation.

In any case, I am greatly encouraged by the fact that Batman did not find any thing bad about the company (HVSFD) that I am invested in. Historic information about Savage is interesting but not material to the future of the company in my opinion. But, I am also a little skeptical of his ability to do adequate DD, since his DD suggest that I am Tom Waite.
