Yes, thanks Neil! I guess I mixed 2 things together: the standards committee dropping FC-EL, and IBM announcing an FC drive. I guess it pretty much amounts to the same thing though: an acknowledgment by IBM that (in the long term) SSA is dead and FC is alive.

Fibre channel continues to be a well guarded secret. I couldn't find it on any part of this diagram.
