Hi Koan,

Of course Putin had no right to invade. That is not an argument I have sought to make.

There was a civil war, I don't know what else it could be called, and that has now resulted in a full scale invasion, a war, by Russia.

The events and the Minsk Agreement back in 2014 were and are pertinent.

Free speech?

There are a lot of problems with free speech on a global scale in recent years. Nothing to do with Putin or Russia far as I can tell.

I used to visit Londons Hyde Park Corner many years ago, on Sundays. Then there was free speech. Not now. Things have deteriorated badly over the last few years, but that is a whole new subject. A very big subject by itself.

I don't appreciate being equated to an apologist for Russia's invasion of Ukraine. I have been there, in Kiev, and have relatives there. Still there. Sure, if I said some of the things here, there, it's probable I would have been shot dead by now, and I understand why. When there is a curfew, during any hours, if you are out in the streets, you are likely to be shot dead as a traitor / Russian infiltrator. That is the rule there in many places. It's a military situation.

It's only outside of that environment can a peaceful solution be openly discussed. Painting me as a Putin man isn't going to wash as far as I am concerned.
