DULLES, Va., Feb 9 (Reuters) - America Online Inc, the world's largest Internet service
provider, said a $2 a month rate increase for subscribers with unlimited monthly access will not
translate into higher earnings for the company.

"The price increase basically will not drop to the bottom line because of the increased network costs
that we are experiencing," America Online Chairman Steve Case said in an interview with Reuters.
