It isn't a dumb question. Obviously, the point is this is precisely what happened with Trump. That it wasn't militarized and the coup plotters had a great disinformation campaign which is still executing.

Trump did what any president might have done in similar circumstances, when he reasonably believed the election had been stolen and a substantial portion of America believed it and still does. Because we saw it on our own ULTRA BIASED televisions.

He did the right thing. The people who did the wrong thing were the Kevin McCarthys, who, for some reason, the right has taken up with.
