While I supported the development of Homeland Security, I'm now thinking differently about our government and realize that it is going to have to have limits imposed. Major expansions should 100% of the time done with a sunset provision after five or ten years then require serious re-authorization investigations. And I wonder whether we shouldn't be looking at doing something like Israel does on the presidency, with some modifications. Maybe an election is held for a two-year term where we can reject a president after two years or stay with him. And any president can be challenged at any time to an election if he can some support for it. For sure, we need to make sure there is no way a situation like we now have with Biden can ever recur. We literally have a POTUS who is medically incompetent, but we can't use the 25th Amendment because the VP would be worse than having an incompetent POTUS. It is astounding the American voters, even with all the cheating, allowed this to happen. To think we have ended up with this lunatic in charge as there is actually a discussion about nuclear war on the table, well that was once unimaginable to me.
