>>Pancho, VERY Gutsy call!! IMHO, with the nonstop strength AOL showed today, plus the very strong possibility they will announce a split VERY soon, it MAY have been more prudent to wait another day or two before adding to the position, However..... No guts, no glory. Best of luck<<

David, I agree this was a bit of a Pancho Villa style move (where do you think the name comes from). Unlike an option play, I shorted the stock and I am patient but recognize that [in theory] stocks have unlimited upside potential while they can only drop to 0. Actually, according to CR they will also announce a split tomorrow but IMO we may start seeing results for this puppy sooner than we think.

Pancho,

You may get a break if they miss numbers tomorrow. That would be one reason to hike the price like they did.

I don't think AOL is a good short right now though. IMO AOL will not loose many accounts for the increase, and that $2/month extra income equates to about $2.50/share more income!

AOL will still be an expensive stock, buy a lot less expensive than a lot of other internet high-fliers!

Good luck with the short.
