We had to read 1984 in high school. Same old script still happening now. It was weird to learn about Thomas Huxley being the grandfather of Aldous Huxley. - author of "Brave New World". I haven't read that one, but maybe I should. Sounds like another possible playbook.

Thomas Huxley was known as Darwin's Bulldog. He was interested in the psyop of promoting The Experts™ to explain Science™. He probably wasn't very interested in Darwin's theories. He wanted to use them as leverage to get into the population's OODA loop. (I doubt he ever thought of it that way.)

Same old thing. Get the people to buy the BS that they're selling so they can profit. GL calls it The Empire of Lies. Battles going on for generations. I just read in the article linked below that Huxley debated Samuel Wilberforce. Wilberforce's father, William, was covered in another thing I ran into concerning the Great Debate of society. Message 33772728 I think you saw that one. :-)
At the end of the day "Nothing Happens By Coincidence". (h/t bruwin)

How Huxley's X-Club sabotaged Science for 150 years. (The Evolution of The Experts™)
The X Club’s support of the Darwinian theory of Natural Selection was less a scientific decision in this respect and more of a political one...
One looks towards universal war; the other towards universal peace. One is the English system; the other we may be proud to call the American system, for it is the only one ever devised the tendency of which was that of elevating while equalizing the condition of man throughout the world.

(I think we've gotten off track somewhere.)
