If you are old and don't vote Republican, you don't have a brain. It is a learning process. There used to be strong opinions against both sides of the aisle and disagreements were intense, but agreement on common issues did happen. Today the lying goes against different views. The cheating of elections and paying for false claims that bring on impeachment multiple times with thorough reviews yielding NADA, brings on a distaste that to low and dirty to get along with. IMO Different views allow a cordiality, but lies and cheating is out of the realm of getting along. When they go for the juggler on cooked up charges, there's no room for cordiality. At a point well before this IMO, the corruption needs to be exposed. It is out of hand, and has been. Others like your friend are tiring of it all, as are many. Especially when their poor plans have negative consequences. When politicians hold onto fixed positions and they clearly have negative economic consequences - it is because thay took money for a position and can not pivot. They swap money for positions even if it hurts many Americans. When a politician is not incumbered to monied interest, he can pivot and make better decisions for all Americans. We're seeing that difference now IMO. The Green New Deal is so anti fossil fuels (INCLUDING THE ESG COMPONENT, it is creating huge inflation on almost everything, and the Democrats can not pivot. It's a suicide by loyalty to those who paid the bills. IMO Those are foolish mistakes that make a reversal of the pendulum amongst the American public. Reagan said it well. The Ire of the American people is slow to kindle, but mighty when it rages. We need to clean things up! Starting with the truth! Bob
