Hi kirk, You are young in mind and physically. If it is dangerous in low wind, you are prudent to do it in higher wind. You have good judgement. You need to do it ASAP as it will only be harde to become proficient, the longer you delay. You cna't take it with you and it might be a lot like going to heaven. <smile> Lessons on others gear and experimentation on upgrade gear will be cheaper in the long run. Rent till you know what you want and one step it to what is good and fun. You owe it to your self! If in doubt, JUST FOIL IT! lol Bob
