I believe Trump was in favor of issuing 50 year bonds to pay for infrastructure but he was a big part of the bubble by encouraging Powell to give him low rates like Obama got to get us out of the Great Recession.
Do you really think Trump would have let Powell get away with this BS?
I think there is plenty of blame to go around but my guess is with Trump Putin would not have crossed into Ukraine and we'd be "drill baby drilling" with a veto hovering over any nonsense of taxing profits for providing a commodity the world is addicted to.

Then we'd be debating is he doing anything to help with climate change on the global level while we kill ourselves with higher prices for everything while everyone else does little...

Then so much for US values and the much ballyhooed independence of the Fed eh.. it is in the end all political BS and politicians are the LEAST qualified to determine these things.. they are in it for the short term votes.. democracy is such bullshit :)
