Yes, well, for me, the Power PC is infinitely SLOWER than any Intel chip, because the software that I want to use doesn't even exist for the PowerPC.

Come to think of it, neither do a lot of the hardware peripherals.

And, the PowerPC SYSTEMS are MUCH more expensive, costs of the CPU chip aside.

Come to think of it (is there an echo in here ?), that's more or less why the fastest Alpha is slower than the slowest Pentiums also.

Thank you for dropping by informing me us about this new Power PC 705 from IBM.

You have been comparing 705 on 0.25um process with P-II on 0.35um! Why are you not comparing apples with apples? And also have you noticed that even with such a small die size of this 705 thing, the price is still way much higher than P-II?
