I really doubt Musk is in cahoots with Bill Gates or Hillary Clinton or pretty much anyone else. He seems to be a bit of a loner. I think Musk is successful because he is so focused on particular problems or opportunities, he doesn't get distracted by secret agendas or burnishing his image as anything but a rich jerk. I am worried that Twitter will be a big distraction for him

There did seem to be plenty of mention of oil and Russia and Ukraine and government subsidies for carbon capture.
