Kilz is a good primer. Here's a trick that few people know. You can tint your primer to one share lighter than the color you wish to paint (so you can tell where you have painted and what still needs to be done), and then you can paint a single coat and have it look as if you have done two coats.

I bought almost everything from home depo or lowes. As far as cabinets and doors. I had a friend in the flooring business so that was wholesale.
