Hi Kirk,

Nomad is coming along on the homestretch.

Fighting some little tweaks that I caused for myself. i.e. added roller lifters to valve train. Old aluminum valve covers didn't cleat rocker arms at top of cycle, so had to double gasket the valve covers. Then the top of the valve covers didn't clear the fuel bowl of the fuel injection so we are having some aluminum spacer raise the air plenum which holds the fuel bowl. That required longer studs that the air plenum bolts to.

Unintended trouble when my engine builder said I should upgrade from the older design and theywill never be seen under the valve covers. Small redoes.

Last week the exhaust system was built (I included chambered exhaust in lieu of a muffler.

This week and next, the leather interior goes in. A copy of original but in leather vs vinyl.

Last steps will be start engine and then bolt on two front fenders and hood - all ready to be installed.

Then I'll transport it back to Wisconsin and detail any little scratches and super clean it all - the last 100 hours.

The car will be debuted at the 2022 Chevrolet National Association convention to be held July 10th thru the 14th at the Marriot Milwaukee in Brookfield WI.

Then bring it home and store it in my school house.

Going to get to building my storage garage here at the house, this summer and fall.

Last but not least, I have just bought another 57 Corvette. A local person died last year and his wife has decided to sell it. I was lucky enough to be the first call and I jumped on the opportunity. I told Jan we need to have some alternative investments as we are over weight in stocks.

Being the bright girl she is, she agreed and WE are now investing in an alternative investment called new kitchen and bathrooms. LMAO

Life is a tradeoff ya know. <smile>
