Leo, I am long in belief of improving fundamentals! * My analysis * Revenue for the 4q '97 increased by 9% to 125.3 million. Loss os 88.3 million non - recurring charges of 56.3 million R & D and merger - related charges, the 23. million of restructuring cost. IF you exclude the non-recurring charges net loss for the 4q was 20.8 million or a NET of 22 cents per share, compared to a 9 cents per share. Revenue grew by 54% to 533.9 million compared to 346.3 million not bad for a young company! The acquisitions of Actra Business Systems and KIVA Software Corp, will position Netscape leadership in the E-Commerce market. Jim Barksdale has mentioned sevral times they will return to profitability by the end of this year. ALREADY, may I add he is moving in the right direction! Insiders are holding 42.6 million shares in their pockets, believe me they see the future in the E-Commerce market they have leadership products and they are standing on top of the mountain looking directly at what is the future. The Application Server 2.0 is the fastest server many people have already applauded to the product. The Application Server has the strongest potential to replace and surpass revenue for Netscape. The allaince between Netscape and Sybase to build complex transactive Web Applications on the Internet if you put the fastest Application Server 2.0 and Sybase Powersite enterprise 1.0 the combination offers best solutions to rapid development in the internet, extranet and intranet applications, Great combination for E-Commerce market. Netscape has already received the top ranking for 1997 among business users. Also, as I have mentioned before Netscape free software backed by 3000 firms, this is an unlimited distribution program, so far 36 million copies will be distributed just the begining! Now that is going to have lots of traffic. As Larry Shapiro said " NSCP owns one of the most valuable assets on the web-they are the gatekeeper for 57% of the traffic on the web" I also believe that will grow back very rapidly! I am very bullish on Netscape for the short and long term, This baby is coming back and it is going to come back strong! wait and see! regards, Giota P.S.
