I used to read the CUBE thread, before that stock did....
a big drop......and according to those folks, its at least 99 and probably late 99 before the DVD-R can get below the $500 dollar threshold, which is where everyone thinks it needs to be priced to
replace the vcr. All of this is of course, purely speculation......but i seriously doubt it will be any time this year. Of course, you can buy them now....but wow...are they expensive!
I did see at compusa that the plane DVD-II is priced under $400 bucks, which isnt to bad.
