Personally my mad money is 83% cash and only 17% IOM, so I'm not bothered if it drifts down a bit. However I would point out that one reason for this legal activity is that Iomega has rather deep pockets -- you won't see anyone suing SyQuest unless the lawyers are being paid up front.
