Mutual Fund Trading: Anomalies, Part III - The Return.

From Messages:
"You are out: Buy 0 MMUFX at 02/10/98 11:28:15"

The MF order closed out! No more open orders, portfolio seems correct (screen print, screen print, screen print!). Life is good. Lime-green polyester rules.

The Datek gods heard my prayers. Mr. Stern, were you peeking?

This has been a test of the Datek MF trading system. Had this been an actual trade, I might be holding some shares!

To further infuriate the Datek gods, now I'll go back in and _actually_ purchase some shares and see how that rides. No fear!

Mutual Fund Trading: Anomalies, Part IV - The Final Beta.

Just an interesting "thingy": When I confirmed my last MF purchase (screen print, screen print!), it took me back to the stock quotes page with the message:

"You confirmed and entered an order! Selling 0 shares at 0. Your tracking number is".

There was no tracking number.

There's a matching message in Messages:
"Selling 0 shares of at 0. Tracking#: 02/10/98 11:48:25". Again, no tracking number. That's REALLY cool.

The order does NOT show up on Open Orders. It does show up on Daily Activity with no cancel button and no status text. As Arty Johnson would say, "Velly interesting".

Earlier today, I entered a MF order and pressed the "No" button on the confirmation page. This order also shows up on daily activity also with no status. Petey, break out vi. You got some work to do.

Anybody care to place wagers as to how many shares of this MF I end up with tomorrow? Will Datek pay me hush money to go away and leave them alone? Will Peter Stern hunt me down like a dog? Tune in tomorrow and find out!

Anybody else remember polyester "silk" pattern shirts worn open to your navel with hideous gold chains? Those were the days!
