Sentiment charts reflect blood is in the streets and overwhelming the sewer system. Consumer sentiment is worst on record which has the party occupying the White House (fits well with first sentence... sewer) concerned. Oddly they overturn Roe vs. Wade at the most opportune time to energize the vote for the party in the white house.... coincidence?

Market Update - First Half 2022

WE'RE IN A BEAR MARKET AND PROBABLY JUST FINISHED THE SECOND QUARTER OF A RECESSION GIVEN THE ATLANTA FED HAS Q2 GDP AT -2.1% AFTER Q1 COMING IN AT -1.6%.

The talking heads on TV don't talk much about this bear market or current recession based on economic growth being negative for two consecutive quarters.... I'm not sure why, perhaps they don't want to put any more tarnish on the current occupant of the White House's failing economic policy (record gasoline prices with oil prices still below past record highs).

Can you imagine how high inflation would be NOW if the government borrowed trillions more dollars to build back better/broke?

Sadly, the data now is clear the Fed should have stopped QE last year and probably started raising rates then before inflation got so bad.

As bad as it looks, when there is blood running in the streets, I've been doing some buying using some more of my profit taking dollars near the highs... but I continue to go slow... nibbling as it were... Probably with Bitcoin still quite positive and Cathy Woods still getting paid attention to on TV, we could have more pain in store.

Gold is at an interesting support level... nasty if it breaks that rounding bottom support or it rockets to new highs.... do you feel lucky as Clint would ask?
