But there is the excellent point that the Germans were very educated and yet desperation allowed them to turn to Hitler. All many Murricans had was faux news desperation (though there are obvious pockets or rural and urban pain)- but our little sHitler, our Mango Mussolini didn't fix anything- he just made 'Murrica an even bigger shit show. Education gives you productive citizens but it doesn't seem to protect against fascism. Maybe because humans are too fucked up and stupid for that.
