Fox has the intellectual nutritional value of a sugar-free candy bar - consuming it provides a fleeting sense of nutrition and gives the person eating it the intellectual shits where recognizable bits appear whole just as they were consumed but completely unprocessed.

I think it gives some protection e.g. It would be surprising to see any of the Nordic countries become fascist.

And as mentioned to Sam, Germany and Japan were so militarized, conformist and brutal societies pre WWII they just knew how to follow for all their education which was more in the sciences and not much in the humanities e.g. ethics : )<.

And in ME countries most of the education is in things like engineering, not so much in secular humanities.

With thinkers who have not been dogmatized there is always chance, with none thinkers who have been dogmatized there is never a chance e.g. religious people are tough to reason with!

<Education gives you productive citizens but it doesn't seem to protect against fascism. Maybe because humans are too fucked up and stupid for that.
