Pharmaceuticals entrepreneur Dr. Phillip Frost glances at a computer screen of stock market quotes, then lights a cigar. Not that there is anything to celebrate -- an after-lunch cigar is a daily habit. In fact, the market is up, but stocks this day in his company, Ivax, the world's largest generic drug manufacturer, are down. Frost seems unflappable; after all, the company has helped make him one of Miami's richest men, worth nearly half a billion dollars in 1996, according to Forbes magazine.
