Yeah, long-standing traditions -houku's been around in one form or other for millennia - colliding with a population of young incels as a result of the one child policy and a tradition favoring males. Throw in a "punk" nihilism with the easy availability of food and lots of video games, along with the realization that buying a flat is a near impossibility while living in a surveillance state, and you have an alienated segment of the population beyond any in the US. You're more familiar with China than I am. Any thoughts about this trend's significance and how Xi deals with it?
