Cisco Systems Sees Charge Related to LightSpeed Intl. Acquisition CISCO SYSTEMS INC. Estimates Charge Related to LightSpeed International Acquisition Feb. 10, 1998, Cisco Systems Inc. ('CSCO) announced it completed the acquisition of LightSpeed International Inc., Sterling, Va., and that it expects to record a related one-time charge of between $0.16 and $0.18 per share against after-tax earnings in the fiscal 1998 third quarter. CSCO said it issued 3,000,000 common shares in the acquisition.

LWolf - do you think there will be bad earnings reports for
CSCO for 1Q because of the Asian crisis? Everyone is saying
that 4Q was good and there was no effect as yet from the Asian
crisis, but the 1Q will show the effects of the Asian crisis.

What does everyone else think?
