The biggest mistakes any of us individual investors make is selling to soon. I have made this mistake over and over again.

In Reminiscences of a Stock Operator, there's a great anecdote about this guy named Mr. Partridge who's supposed to be a successful long-term investor, and his words of advice are always just "Well, this is a bull market, you know!"

He gets a hot tip, buys, and then gets another hot tip to sell, but he doesn't. His reason why is essentially that he can't afford to sell, because "well, this is a bull market, you know!" The lesson: don't fight the tide -- if it's a bull market, it's going to keep going up until it isn't a bull market anymore.

Excellent book, by the way.

<<Mory joked at a conference last year that he would sell for $100.00 per share. I really didn't think he was joking!>>
Just FYI, he sold some for thirty something very recently.

>>I think the stock will be back at 80 by next year<<

Pat, ASND seems less efficient than BAY, as I have compared their performance for quite some time. Nonetheless, ASND is going up and keeps going up. What else does one expect? I am going to hold this stock for a while, when it reaches 80 I will sell it. And, when it comes down to 23 again, I'll get back in. Yeah...I know what to do now.

I PLAN TO HOLD MY ASND FOR AT LEAST ANOTHER YEAR.

The biggest mistakes any of us individual investors make is selling to soon. I have made this
mistake over and over again.
Far too much potential here.

Amen ! Knowing what I know. my average price is $32 1/4, bought after the pre-anouncement for I think ASND will be back up on its feet, though the rug was pulled from under in late Oct mkt crash. I firmly believe that the 2H98 is pretty strong if not the 2Q98. IMHO, ASND has execellent upside potential from here. I refrain from setting a price target for there are others who already did or will.
