I think AMD's report is going to be good. While there may be lacklustre results in the GPU and PC segments, I suspect the data centre results will be remarkable. Judging by the reporting of Intel's poor results this quarter, the press and market analysts have yet to fully recognise AMD's impact in the data centre. Only a few reports have focussed on, or even mentioned, the fact that AMD is causing material impact on Intel. The extraordinary poor Q2 results were a direct consequence of AMD's superior products, and today may be the day that AMD's competitive position is fully recognised.

A couple of days ago the press picked up that AMD is now the bigger company by market capitalisation. Today may be the day that AMD is starting to be truly seen as the new leader. The share gains may be rapid from here, as we now have the snowballing effect becoming apparent.
