So the Vietnamese would still be working for their French masters?

There would have been a lot more Banana wars too, encircling the globe, not just South America. United Fruit would have done OK I guess.

Who knows how many casualties would have to be suffered to knock the Russian military machine back into place (if it were possible) , so there would have been a lot of blood thirsty troops and power hungry politicians with axes to grind at the end, human nature being what it is.

Back to my previous post. It is a mind boggling statistic... There were more casualties in just one WW2 battle in Ukraine then Britain suffered in the whole of WW2. All of the battles on several different continents.

Your conjecture looks an unsteady one.
