I loved the Dune books! Well said! Ours is the pinnacle of a chaotic system that is beauty personified imo. Anyone who doesn't understand how lucky we are to be here now in the vast expanse of the cosmic evolution and what sort of climate changes just this planet has seen in the past 4.5 billion years... has a very low IQ. It is SO precarious, it is worth protecting. The problem is we have too many idiots working for political points and hatred of other ideas to cooperate. Eventually so many will piss and shit in the pool that it will become toxic and some think we may be close to the point of no return... hence the billionaires spending on getting to Mars for their offspring.
