I believe the 2-year tracks the Fed Funds rate
You may want to run a correlation with $USD and $UST2Y in the indicators to see the relationship better.
It would probably be best to track your basket of 30 currencies and indicators rather than looking for one or two.

I believe the dollar strength is a combination of inflation and interest rates in the US vs the World.
