Good morning Haim, Re <<As to "Asimov Foundation" you mention we as we can define us as humanity are on the cusp of self-destruction and signs are everywhere.>>

... Absolutely agree.

Re <<At this point in time, there is still an "out" available but the events around the world even without robots point in a different direction.>>

... Very much agree. Requires GLOBAL cooperation.

Re <<The man made ecological disasters are getting severer every year and no serious action is being taken to avoid the destructive instability in the various seasons around the world.>>

... Agree much. Requires incentives and peace, and cooperation, and talents.

Re <<Further not only on this tread [sic thread] but in general little attention is given to the movements of the tectonic plates and the geopolitical consequences.>>

... The thread sort of tries, between MQ's climate theories and and the dialogues so generated by discussion of his and others' theories. Sometimes argumentative but in the most case thought provoking. Since I do not know much about climate other than what I am fed by MSM, I just peruse.

Re <<The danger looms under each big continent and even if the movements are in mm/year the underlying stress to a breakup is huge.>>

... Believe bang-on. Requires fullest attention of the folks in charge, working and us folks who pay the bills to support. Full attention requires peace, prosperity, and more peace, and engagement of talents through incentives.

Re <<Little attention is given to the "Mariana Trench" the "Philippines Plate" and the disintegration of the mainland "China plate" or the "North American plate" divide>>

... Do not know enough to comment.

Re <<each can snap in our lifetime or further in the future as there are many academic geological papers on the subject with the inclusive warnings.>>

... this is the first time I have heard of the issue. A new one. If valid, one more vector to worry about besides peace and prosperity and climate change and ... GLOBAL cooperation.

Re <<As not being knowledgably in this field I cannot form an opinion but the extreme stress humanity exercises on the earth surface a "snap" could happen and the 3 Gorge dam is a well known example that influenced the earths rotational speed around its axis and the amplitude of its wobbling.>>

... 3G dam was constructed for a multitude of reasons, including but not limited to

(i) flood control of known known phenomenon recurring over centuries

nytimes.com
Since the end of imperial rule nearly a century ago, Chinese leaders of all kinds -- democrats and dictators, Nationalists and Communists, technocrats and dreamers -- have shared a single, colossal engineering ambition: to dam the mighty Yangtze River. In June, 84 years after Sun Yat-sen, the Chinese Nationalist leader, first proposed locating the dam downstream of the scenic Three Gorges, sluice gates closed and the silt-laden waters of the world's third-longest river began filling the cavernous gap between a series of sheer cliffs to form the biggest reservoir in the world.
Full article here Message 33959947

(ii) energy independence for national security given that GLOBAL cooperation is suspect or otherwise lacking

Re <<It may be minimal but facts are that the magnetic earth field is generating anomality's and the magnetic north pole is moving by km/year all available on various scientific websites.>>

... Do not know enough except to note that there is a debate / dialogue that seems lively, and for it to go anywhere requires GLOBAL cooperation.

Re <<Consequences can be dare [sic dire] and the unprovoked war against Ukraine is a proof of the immature state of humanity civilization as is the recent senseless brouhaha around Taiwan.>>

... there is a debate going on about <<unprovoked>>

... a coincidence or within calculation that <<Ukraine ... Taiwan>>, separated by some distance, go hot and warm, on the one side no-limits friendship, and the other, like-minded folks. Whatever is going on, GLOBAL cooperation is not happening. Team USA is active at the core of both non-cooperation occurrences. Coincidence or calculation? Let the situation on the ground sort it out likely the only way as usual.

Afghanistan is not yet cold.
Syria still piping hot.
etc etc
Quite a bit of still-open vectors.
GLOBAL cooperation quite distant.

Re <<The stability of the earth tectonic plates not to mention an outside impact is giving a false sense of geological stability.>>

Frankly sounds like four year election cycles based on personalities and premised on assumed smarts should be questioned so that not all issues are automatically politicised for the nearest election calendar. Perhaps meritocracy should be given a chance to come to the fore. A controversial statement I am agnostic on but just tabling.

The world needs, desperately, GLOBAL cooperation. How best to get there?

By OTOH overpowering OTOH is, in my opinion and calculation, woefully unrealistic.

In the meantime, we watch & brief, on TeoTwawKi and Darkest Interregnum, and right now, the many poles of the world appears to be USA, China, EU, Russia, India, ... Japan, ME, Africa, Brazil, SE Asia (Indonesia), ...

Some are near peers, others distant tag-alongs.

Re <<Sorry TJ but you responded with a complete different subject to a quite clear IMHO question which is disappointing>>

... so, trust you see, why I focus on USA and China, primarily, for between the two might be the solutions can be unlocked, if only they would cooperate, as they did for some time, with great result of prosperity as expressed by the equity and bond markets, over decades, and now, not as good, as we rapidly approach 2026 / 2032.

We the thread can focus on any pair or grouping of domains, but enormously more complicated, for example, on

- Brazil and Indonesia pairing. Neither weighty enough.

- EU and anywhere. EU is rekt and anywhere is too vague.

- India and ... . My knowledge of India is not much. Others are welcome to try.

- etc etc

What do you suppose the world will look like in 2032 if we go w/ another 10 years of the so-called ChinAmerica, as opposed to what we now have, which is CCP-China-China-China.

What do you suppose the world will look like the way we are now going, going, and ...?

Back to <<As to "Asimov Foundation" you mention we as we can define us as humanity are on the cusp of self-destruction and signs are everywhere.>> ... bingo, I agree, even as I do not know the answer.

So the purpose of the thread is clear, albeit titled explicit.

Our Story — The Entpre?ers Network

Our Story

Entrepreneurial Spirits from around the world!Weilyn and Ali met in Middle School in Hong Kong in 2014. Into High School, they became friends as they connected over their natural entrepreneurial spirits. As the Class of 2020 during Covid, in January of their Senior year, Weilyn and Ali both went online for the rest of the year without closure to their High School Careers. Fast forward to Fall 2020, Weilyn flew to the US to attend Princeton University while Ali flew to Shanghai to attend NYU Shanghai. After a few months at school, in March of 2021 Weilyn and Ali reconnected virtually through their shared frustration towards the lack of support and connection of female entrepreneurship both on their college campuses and globally. They were told that the world first had to develop entrepreneurship before we could focus on female entrepreneurship - they disagreed. In response, they created The Entrepre?ers Network and started hosting The Entrepre?ers Podcast, all ventures for and by female entrepreneurs led by the next generation.

Ali and Weilyn strive to create an inclusive empowered community of curious female college entrepreneurs built on the foundations of gratitude and education. Only 3% of VC funding goes to female founders - that must change!

Our core values.Diversity, Community, Curiosity, Gratitude, Education, Entrepreneurship
