we get charged generation at 12¢ per KWHr
then a sliding fee up for "delivery" that is 39¢ for my incremental Kwhr and I think jumps to 50 cents or more for high use...

Those who put solar back into the grid don't subsidize the low income, Tesla chargers and whatever other nonsense we have in our complex bills that are rivaled only by Comcast for complexity... so they are talking about a fixed fee per kwhr installed on your roof to pay the subsidies... I think $50 a month for those with a typical solar setup.

So it is hard to do the math for solar... I read the new fees might double the payback time which is even longer for those of us with significant tree blockage.

The problem with all these damn government programs based on income limits... you might qualify for the solar tax credit but if I take the money out of my IRA to pay for it and pay the taxes so I have taxes to offset with the credits, I could lose a good part of the subsidy with higher Medicare costs for going into a higher income level.
