Better days are ahead. Most semi equipment stocks are battered, but they undoubtedly have good prospects going forward. The Asian crisis may have caused a few hiccups short term, but long term the industry is poised for a huge run-up. Especially considering that the industry needs to make a transition to 300 mm, 0.18 micron wafers. Which means capital spending on equipment purchases by manufacturers.
