What I am saying is that with solar cells and cell phones and what not, now you can create a mobile home as a perm resident. There was a student in my campus when I was a student who lived in an old school bus. He took his showers in the gym and once a month or so he drove his bus (a real noisy clunker) to get some water, fuel, etc. It was not cool. But now you can do that and actually look very cool.

I saw a luxury variation of that too. Will Smith has made himself a mobile home and office complete with meeting room, huge high def TV and so on. It is based on a container that actually expands and widens (and rises) to create a decent 2 story "building". He uses a transport trailer to drive it around.

So it is not an icky grungy thing to live in a mobile home anymore - not if you do it right. And with the housing costs being what they are...
