Inode, I STILL see that as legal and acceptable. Data analytics, etc., is just fine. There is no obligation on Zuck's part to be "fair and balanced" with regard to contributions to Democrat voter-targeting efforts. Maybe there could be limits imposed on such contributions. (Bill is right; they should be treated similarly to campaign contributions.) But it is my belief that campaign finance laws are a crock of shit. People like Zuck are smart. People like Zuck will ALWAYS find ways around the very laws they helped to create. George Soros, for example, was a big advocate for campaign finance reform. But IMMEDIATELY after it passed, he started contributing to organizations that blatantly got around those laws. I'd rather err on the side of less regulation, not more. Let the free market of ideas self-correct. Let's not have government intervene and try to force private companies and individuals to be "fair and balanced." Because the definition of "fair and balanced" changes with the wind ... and with whoever is writing the rules. And you can bet the rulemakers are going to break their own rules as soon as they get written. Tenchusatsu
