I think option 2 is the one. Anything with computers is easier to manipulate. Also absentee ballots should be in BEFORE the election. Not after. The election count should be done by midnight of Election day

The only way your going to get a 100% valid election is by verification. That means the unofficial results have to be published by name and voters should have the right to challenge any vote within 7 days. Then the official results should be published on the 14th day. This will insure that our voting rolls are verified and scrubbed each election. When you have 156 million voters looking at the voting results, I guarantee you it will be 99.99% accurate. This can all be automated and tracked with full transparency. No way to cheat! The only problem is, there will be no secret ballot. It will be eye opening! It will never happen.
