Target and Walmart's demographics are quite different. For example, you probably won't find Diesel Exhaust Fluid in Target. However, it's a very hot item at Walmart. Target's customer base is probably 85% female. Walmart's is closer to 60/40 female/male. Target customers have a 50% higher average household income than Walmart's customers on average. They are two very different worlds with very different approaches.

From what I can figure, they decreased by about 18 billion last week. It was about 13 billion the week before that... Fed Balance Sheet Update. Too bad we can't get real time updates on this. Note how the balance actually went up and fueled the June and August bounces in the SPX then the drains led our declines. It's all about liquidity.
