Yep, I like to make money like most people do. :-) A couple of things I didn't note before about the iPhone Music app and its interaction with Apple Music and and all the synching with Apples servers that has to go on now: My iPhone now shows doubled and tripled listings for songs for many albums on my iPhone and a lot of them have changed cover art taken from either the iTunes Store on the iPhone or Apple Music I didn't ask or want it to do. The best and funniest changed cover art I've found so far was putting these on the albums of a guy I know who puts his music on bandcamp and is just starting out in the biz. Apple doesn't know him obviously and they did have embedded art already, but here's what Apple thought of his stuff: Apple being "helpful" again by forcing things on its customers without giving an option not to accept that help. Maybe they cranked up the dark comedy setting on their algorithm and it made those choices? Hehe. It's all a bit annoying and could be really annoying to the average Apple customer, but I know how to fix them, I think. I just haven't take the time yet because it takes awhile to do, and have just lived with it. > And yes, Siri continues to occasionally mis-comprehend what I'm saying. It keeps reminding me that AI isn't real (yet?), and mostly just clever programming tricks. And the more I use it, the more I realize Siri prefers a certain word order when making requests. It trains me, and in return I get hands-free treats. That's exactly what I've noticed as well about the word order. I know if I forget to say "playlist" after requesting a particular one I've made, Siri nearly always defaults to some curated list in Apple Music with the same or similar name. Sometimes thought it's almost random and I think she had an aneurysm since because it's nowhere close to what I said, haha. While that can be entertaining if I'm in the mood, mostly I just want to hear what I want to hear at the time since I'd rather concentrate on the road and driving safely, and not have to pull over to spank Siri or just select the songs and playlists manually. > Somedays I kinda wish I was still just using well-worn mixtapes. The same guy I know puts out cassette tapes himself and has old audio gear, so I gave him some brand new old stock Type II (CrO2) and Type IV (metal) cassettes I found in storage. He uses them to make hand numbered and signed limited edition releases of his music to sell at his shows and on bancamp. Those tapes are hard to get now since the world has moved on and it's hard to find anything but cheap Type I low bias stuff now if buying new. The NOS stuff sells for nice money on eBay too, like $20-40 per cassette or so.
