Yes , high short interest is always a concern. However, high short interest is usually a good indicator that the stock is indeed overvalued. With some of the insider shares being sold i think it will offset the high short interest and prevent any significant short squeezes. Remember, the market just made new all time highs and AMZN is still trading within the range of the last few weeks....being on the high side right now is not unusual given the strength of the overall market. Good luck to you........;^)

Just got 125 more AMZN shares to short on datek. More free money long term! A secondary will be heading our way in the next three to six months. The stock will collapse after the secondary just like SLOT and VIAS. I made good money shorting both before their secondaries became effective. It is still possible that the MM will push the stock up some more into to the 70's. But in the end gravity will take over. (Or else AMZN will eventually be worth more then GM and GE combined by announcing that they will also sell jet engines and cars without all of that brick and mortar <;)

Subject: LAMR

Lamar was downgraded by UBS Securities from a buy to a hold, based on valuation.

www1.newsalert.com

They claimed the run-up in the stock price was due to rumors that the stock may be bought out by Clear Channel Communications, and that Lamar's management spent the weekend with managers from CCU. (That's the problem with these stocks that aren't followed by too many traders; we don't hear the rumors.) UBS feels that even if there is a buyout, it may not be for much higher (if at all) than where the stock is now.

I still can't understand why anyone would want to buy a company with 90% debt.

The stock is still up today; it doesn't seem as though the downgrade has hurt it. I still haven't taken a position; I'm dazed and confused.
