Inode,
Neither government nor universities really want to look at this data.
That's not true. There is a LOT of interest in research like this. It's one of the hottest topics among public health officials, especially given how they're trying to brace themselves for the next pandemic.

Even those who are opposed to lockdowns should find value in research, for it will give them leverage in shaping public policy in the future.

The worst thing you can do is suppress said research or call it a waste of time, because that's just plain denial. And I'm including those who suffer from confirmation bias among the deniers, because they're just as guilty of a political agenda as those who are accused of using "sham lockdowns" for power.

I'm always amused Right Wingers pick and choose the government they think are not fat-assed bureaucracy and they don't consider corporations full of fat-assed bureaucracy...

Both are the same... white collar people protecting their fat-assed jobs and good people trying their best to do work blocked constantly by fat-assed bureaucracy.

I'm amused and appalled by thoughtlessness... like cops and firemen can "do no evil" and then you folks will turn on a dime and "defund" the FBI because they caught Trump commiting treason.

Lump all groups together like they are monolithic. Rush Limbaugh's bullshit "here's what liberals think" as if we are all the same. I don't think conservatives are all the same.

Cops and firemen are bureaucrats too, some good, some bad, some lazy. Cops get into it because they want to "do good"... naive people mostly who then see corruption, incompetence, cronyism and often become jaded.

Scientists? Yes some, very few. Why would they struggle through getting an advanced science degree when they could get a far more lucrative MBA far more easily?
