I'm not saying that CDC is just like the corrupt law enforcement situation. It is part of HHS, and while they can't detain me or hold me indefinitely like a 1/6 prisoner, I witnessed the power of the giant health organizations over the last few years as they played a huge role in gutting our economy and misleading the public.

Sorry, but that did happen. And I think most people know that by now. These organizations were out of control. Trump was unable to do anything about it, and Biden was unwilling.

I find no evidence they helped. Back to our discussion on Sweden from yesterday -- they had per capita deaths of just under 2,000, while only 5 US states, all kind of remote and/or sparse (HI, UT, AK, WA, ME) did better. Most did much, much worse. CA, for example, was around 2,440 deaths per capita, and Newsome threw everything but kitchen sink at it.

We are lucky Trump took the vaccine design out of government hands, even with the exorbitant cost. What did our federal medical infrastructure do to earn its money those two years, anyway? (I realize they had other stuff that couldn't just be dropped, but you'd think we might have gotten some real-time value, no?)

In that case, I wouldn't trust any doctor who relies upon the CDC for any recommendations regarding any disease.
Maybe sometimes it is necessary to refer to CDC guidelines, I don't know. But NOT ONE PHYSICAN READ THE PAPER WE DISCUSSED YESTERDAY. I GUARANTEE THAT.

There is no government organization I "trust" at this time. Not even the military, which 20 years ago I thought was a great organization.

I no longer see any element of the federal government as a force for good. They aren't all necessarily a force for evil, IMO, but I do not look around and think, "Damn, there is a federal agency that gets it right." I can't name one.

My belief is the only real solution is to start decentralizing government with the objective that DC become a museum, other than the WH. The Capitol should be left empty as a symbol of how fucked up government can get if you don't have strict, centrally enforced voting rules.
