Janice and jhild,

Great Link, jhild, and you gave me an idea. Perhaps Janice is able to obtain commerical cranberry liquer?

I am sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but . . . while a wonderfrul and healtful fruit, I do not think grapes are a good source of vitamin C, and grapes do not contain the same medicinal qualities thought to be contained in cranberries. Grapes are, however, an excellent source of necessary potassium.

Kiwi fruit, Janice! Can you get Kiwi fruit over there? Kiwi fruit and bananas, and you can even put them in the blender!

Suspect you could approximate the same result with grappa and a few drops of cranberry juice. In fact the grappa is likely a fine substitute in any event. :^)

Alas no cranberry juice, either. Guess I'll just have to leave it out. Still feeling wretched. This year's version is a real bummer.
