>> Disability payments up 8%... how many do you know who've abused this system and could find a job if they had to but don't?<<

You know you have to have one of their doctors sign off to get disability right?

I guess some people could work in pain until they die. Quite a vision of utopia you have there.

I'm quicker to blame the punishing tax and benefits systems in Taxifornia. Low income families in CA have access to a TON of benefits that fall off as they make more money.<<

CA has the 5th highest GDP per capita in the US. states. With the top 10 being all so called liberal states, except for two that have oil. SD and WY.

So there is that. <G> How do they do that being such morons?

The Fed isn't much better, especially if you are over age 65 on Medicare and still working. I did a calculation that showed if you made an extra $1,000 to kick you into the second tier of Medicare charges, $92K I think, then you pay an additional $1,500 give or take in taxes and fees.<<

Shouldn't have to pay anything. SS and Medicare are mine. I paid for it since I was 12 years of age.
You should be happy they are still working and paying into SS and Medicare at a 15% on every dollar they earn.
