I can only view that question in how I think.

I always vote my pocket book.

The voting to kill a fetus is a red herring that should never make it on on a ballot.

The position of abortion is so personal, that it should not be up to the masses to dictate an individual's right to choose.

The subject of abortion is one I personally have evolved on as I've aged.

When I was young and not married I believed it was a subject that IF it applied to me, I'd want to have the decision to say yea or nay.

At the age of 70, I do not think it is my place to tell a younger person they do not have the alternatives I valued when I was young.

It just should never make the ballot. IMO

I feel the same way about smoking pot. If you want to be a pothead, sit around and eat chips all day - good on you. Just don't expect my taxes to give you basic income. Ditto alcohol. Ditto harder drugs that will kill you before you draw down on my Social Security money.

We all have certain god given rights. From the most successful people in the world to the most hardcore minimalist. It just your choice. Don't take from those who are productive to encourage the minimalist to have a lifestyle that exceeds what they eke out for themselves by not working.

In many ways I lean to the libertarian view.

If you vote (I sent in my vote by mail today) and elections are fair and honest - you get the politician the majority voted for. I will live with that. I feel it is a privilege to vote and have never missed an election. One year I flew back to Texas so I could vote. Got smart and learned about absentee voting.
