AOL right now is just like IOM at 70. Sure IOM was selling tons of ZIP drives at the time. And, sure, there wasn't much competition. But neither factor is an excuse to drive the valuations of these stocks to infinity. Eventually, soon even, the laws of physics are going to flatten AOL's growth curve and the stock is going to plummet to fair sell value of the company. If AOL can't start turning a profit consistently, that valuation will be at or below revenue. And if you look at the numbers that's a very small fraction of their present market cap.

AOL basically has said it will sell Sprynet.
Netcom was bought 6 months ago.
Earthlink today did big equity deal with Sprint.
Buy MSN ?? (doesn't seem likely, from ego and other perspectives
Buy AT&T??? right.
That leaves Prodigy.
