The problem is that they have 10 million plus subscribers. A $2 increase is not going to get people to switch services now that people have figured out how AOL works, and enjoy using it. Who wants to learn a new service, commands and have to install new software for a nominal price increase?

It is like switching long-distance carriers, unless someone calls you, and does all the work for you, it aint gonna happen. How many people actually sought out a new long-distance phone carrier on their own just to save a few nickels.

And it all comes down to speculation. This stock is not up on evaluation, but speculation. The institutions control this stock, they own 70-80% of it. They conspired to raise the price of the stock artificially. But the only way this stock goes down is if they start to sell, and they probably won't until they make enough profit or until they get tipped off that AOL is coming out with bad news. This stock will fall just like all of the others that have shot up this fast.
