The decision to increase health premiums for Nevada State workers who refused to get vaccinated was a political decision by the Sisolak Administration, one that may cost the Democrats a Senate seat. Moreover, very stringent mask requirements were placed in the State while the Governor was photographed eating out with his wife without a mask. That infuriated a lot of people, especially libertarians and independents. Nevada is a slightly left leaning, libertarian State. To many libertarians, that may sound strange, but that's the way it is in Nevada. Businesses were fined a hefty sum for not enforcing mask requirements and Sisolak sent his agents statewide to write tickets for those not compliant. The incumbent Dem Senator is caught in the crossfire. Many left the State on account of this, including my whole family. But we still vote there via absentee ballot.
