according to macerich leasing space continues to be in high demand by retailers.. they said they dont see it ending anytime soon. mentioned that barnes and nobles is relocating from an open air space into one of their malls in ct. this is the most positive call i have heard from them since i have been listening. NO guidance for 2023, but expecting low tennant fall out. I do not see a recession in the us. especially if the democrats can get the infrastructure bill going. but i am staying away from banks and financial institutions. I expect that as electric cars get produced the car companies will have to provide low rate financing. the impoverished are gonna get screwed by Powell but that is usually the case, and out debt will increase as government debt interest rates rise and tax receipts decline from drop in building industry.
