Do you know any poor people who manage a Corvette dealership? I heard this on Jay Leno's Garage and didn't have time until now to look it up... When my brothers got married, they married women of even less means so my parents offered money for a reception or a honeymoon. One took the honeymoon and the other took the reception at a restaurant. My guess is those gifts were about 10 to 20% of what I paid for my 94 Corvette a couple of years later. I thought Joe says or implies he didn't have much money growing up. I guess it is relative...
