Youngkin in Virginia completely separated himself from Trump and was not an election denier. He sounded to me like a moderate. Also - and I think this was pretty important - the radical left, the AOC faction of the Party was running wild in terms of influence during the first year of the Biden Presidency and Virginia Democrats are mostly moderates. Dems could have won the Wisconsin Senate race if they picked a moderate. What this tells me is that Newsome will not be a good choice for Dems in 2024. Dems need a young to middle aged Moderate to run, in his/her 50's/60s. Otherwise they could be in trouble.
